Love it - super simple to use and comprehensive. Will use for this holiday season whether Im hosting or guesting!

Great app -- nice design, and there are tons of recipes for unusual drinks along with all the classics. I like that I can add notes and photos to my favorite recipes, and the ability to switch back and forth between ounces and grams is also really useful.

Im so glad I downloaded this app instead of some of the other bartending guides - this one is fantastic! Its so well organized and super-simple to use. I love the Bar Basics section because it gives a great rundown of equipment needed and even guidance on how many drinks to plan for every occasion or bottles of wine to plan for when having a dinner party - who doesnt need that??? There are over 1,000 recipes and ideas for cocktails, from the classic to the exotic, and even toasty holiday toddies like eggnogs and punches, which are perfect for this time of year. The shopping list feature is perfect for planning on-the-go, and you can share recipe ideas with friends via e-mail or on Facebook. The Favorites feature lets you add your own notes and photos to recipes - genius! Its like a built-in scrapbooking function right in your app!

Mr. Boston is a respected name in cocktail guides, but this app falls short in usability and functionality. I definitely expected more. The interface, though attractive, is a bit awkward to use. Some buttons are at the bottom, some at the top, making it uncomfortable and unintuitive. You are unable to browse all drinks--you must browse by type of liquor or search by name. When browsing, there is also no letter index, so you must scroll through all the drinks to go down the list (ie. no jumping to letter M). Very few drinks have photos. Some of the other bar-tending info offered in this app is useful, and depending on what youre looking for, this could add some value. But for me, I wanted a comprehensive and readily accessible cocktail resource with photos. This app didnt quite hit the spot.

Im a bartender with 12 years expirience and thought this would be a great app because I wouldnt have to carry my recipe book. I was dissapointed that the first recipe that I look up to refresh my memory was completly off!!! Look up Rum Runner!!! Instead of rum, banana liquor, ect. it says it is with gin!!! This cant be the real Mr. Boston bartenders guide!!!

I own the book, I love the app! Visually appealing super easy to use.…simple to navigate while testing the recipes! Mr. Boston youve done it again.

After a few moments of use, the screen goes completely white on my iPhone 4S. The only way to get the app to work is to power the phone off, power it back on, and restart the app. This has happened twice, just a few moments after I installed the app. If it hadnt been for that, the app looked pretty good. I hope they get this resolved soon!

Note that this app still uses low resolution graphics. Navigation is clumsy. Every action takes two or three extra clicks (like adding a favorite). The content appears fine - which is why I purchased from Mr. Boston (I own the book). But this app is a letdown across the board. I hope they provide a solid update. Given the above, I would suggest buying a different app. I am going to do so now.

From shopping cart, cannot delete items as advertised. Home button takes me to a white screen with lines. Have to reboot my iPhone to use the app. Really unhappy. Especially for a paid app.

Regretting buying this app.

I was happy to have an app for the book that my folks used when I was growing up. However, this is not a user-friendly app. Every time you search and hit either the home icon or the back icon, it goes to a nonfunctional screen. The only way to clear it is to close the app and delete it from the TSR. Very disappointing and a rip-off at this point.

Thought this was gonna be a good app, found info I needed first time I used it. Went use it again and it had the white lined paper look that will not go away..... I paid for this why? Dont waste your money!

I am using this on an iPad and it is the size of an iPhone or iPod on my screen and I cant make it any bigger. other than that it is a great version of the mr. Boston which I already have a hard copy of.

Latest version is working well on my iPhone 4gs. Some bugs left to sort out with the shopping cart feature (doesnt let me select individual ingredients to delete) also the ability to arrange favorites would be great. Notes feature and recipes are the best part of this app. The bar history content makes for great bathroom reading as well. Keep pushing this app!

This ap is so out of date and worthless!!!!!!! I would like my money refunded for this..You need to have all the new drinks in this before you try selling it. ABSOLUTELY GARBAGE! I would like my money refunded please!

This is a great, classic reference to have on an iPhone. The Bar Basics section alone is more than worth the price. Having just the original recipes for classic cocktails is much, much better than being overloaded with 42 versions of "Sex on the Beach" that vary only by the brand of liquor, as is frequently the case in lesser cocktail apps. I have encountered a display bug when the font size is set to "large" in the apps settings, which is a necessity for my aging eyes. (Some weird overlaid text in recipes.) Also, when viewing definitions in a "Bar Basics" section, tapping the Back button returns me to the Bar Basics list, not the section I was viewing. iPad support would be a huge bonus for the future, and for those of us with less than perfect eyesight, though the font size setting is most helpful. The ability to add custom recipes would be wonderful. Including professional photos of at least the classic cocktails would be nice.

Dated feel. Needs to be a universal app with retina graphics. looks horrible on iPad.

If you want a recipe for a Flirtini; 1. go buy a bottle of cake-icing vodka, 2. go get bent, 3. go buy a different recipe book. This is an amazing collection of nostalgic cocktails dating back to pre-prohibition. The majority on the recipes are built to showcase the flavor of the liquor, not mask it. For true cocktail lovers this is the standard bible for legitimate mixologists.

Not made for latest phones or OS. Not up to date with resolution... So doesnt really look nice. Recipes are good and classic as expected but hasnt issued an update since 2012.

A curated guide to mixed drinks. Its a shame this hasnt been updated to the latest version of the book, the latest version of iOS, and the latest version of the hardware. My five stars are for content, not execution, which at this point is three or so stars.
